SWISS ASSOCIATION OF GASTROINTESTINAL PATHOLOGY (SAGIP)


WELCOME TO THE OFFICIAL WEBSITE OF THE SAGIP!


The Swiss Association of Gastrointestinal Pathology, SAGIP, is devoted to the development of diagnostic and research in pathology of the gastrointestinal tract, pancreas, biliary tract and liver. The SAGIP was founded in 2010 from the former Gastrointestinal Pathology Working Group of the Swiss Society of Pathology. The Liver Pathology Working Group also joined SAGIP in 2014.


The SAGIP’s missions are:

  • To improve the diagnostic skills in surgical pathology of the gastrointestinal tract, liver and pancreas
  • To guarantee optimal education on gastrointestinal pathology
  • To promote and organize studies on digestive diseases
  • To interact with other national and international pathology working groups and societies
  • To establish guidelines in gastrointestinal pathology
  • To unite our knowledge in solving difficult and unusual cases
